Siderite is yet another common mineral at Tsumeb, but rare as well crystallised specimens suitable for collections. Micro-acicular crystals of chocolate-bronze Siderite coat 2 to 4 mm stalagmitic botryoidal mounds of very dark-brown to black Hematite on a matrix of dark grey Chalcocite. These associations strongly suggest the specimens originates from the 2nd Oxidation Zone at Tsumeb.
