A rather impressive miniature of light tan octahedral Scheelite crystals richly coating two prism faces of a chunky, 6 cm long terminated Quartz crystal and, quite surprisingly, the entire base, an area exceeding 4.5 x 3 cm. From the C'novec/Zinnwald ore field overlapping Saxony in Germany and the 'st' Region (Bohemia) in the Czech Republic, the Scheelite crystals are a consistent 1.5 to 2 mm across and of a translucent tan that varies from honey-tan to dark tan. The coverage of Scheelite crystals must number many hundred! The only problem with this lovey miniature is, do you display the upper surface or its spectacular base!
