What a fabulous and rare combination of a Sceptre Quartz crystal standing proud of beautiful, lustrous leaf green Tourmaline crystals. Interestingly, some of the Tourmaline crystals are hollow at one end, while the remains of a pink core are visible on others. This quite stunning, good sized miniature is from the Cruzeiro mine at São José da Safira in the Doce valley of Minas Gerais, Brazil. This mine lies within the Safira pegmatite district in the Eastern Brazilian pegmatite province and works at least five distinct pegmatites.
