A fine small miniature of botryoidal Romanechite from the Adam Heber mine near Neustädtel in Saxony, Germany. Romanechite is a barium-manganese oxide, but has variable chemistry due to its somewhat complex composition. In this specimen the Romanechite forms botryoidal pillows that grade from a few millimetres in diameter at the base to over 1 cm diameter towards the crest. The Romanechite is a uniform mid-grey with a dull, slightly sooty patina. It comes a with a Dr F. Krantz (Bonn) dealer label, a little bit torn at the bottom right corner.
