This rather inconspicuous miniature specimen is actually something of a marvel. Heralding from Parker Shaft, Franklin mine, New Jersey it contains no less than three of the Type Species documented from Franklin - Roeblingite, Hendricksite and Hancockite. Roeblingite is the main one, displaying the classic 'coconut' texture typical of material from Parker Shaft. Several discrete patches of Roeblingite are visible, the largest 7 x 5 mm in extent. Surrounding these are reddish massive Hancockite (for a while rebranded as Epidote-(Pb) but now back to Hancockite), buff coloured massive Xonotlite, coarse blades of dark brown micaceous Hendricksite, glassy orange Andradite and duller orange-yellow microcrystals of Prehnite. From the collection of Dr Eduard Lopatka in Austria, prior to that it was owned by Dr Hans-Jurgen Wilke (1925-2014) who obtained it from Jim's Gems in New Jersey. Extremely rare classic Franklin material.
