A coarsely granular matrix of bright grey-silver Galena is riddled with lustrous glassy crystals of cherry-red Rhodonite from North Mine at Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia. The more showy Rhodonite crystals, which display well across the crest of the specimen, are typically between 5 and 7 mm across; are well developed and with a slightly rounded and appearance. A good example of this classic combination of Rhodonite with Galena from Broken Hill.
