Franklin mine, New Jersey, USA is renowned for excellent well-formed triclinic Rhodonite crystals. This cabinet-sized specimen is a particularly fine example, displaying long, bladed to prismatic pink Rhodonite crystals measuring up to 3.5 cm in length protruding from massive white Calcite. The Calcite typically (for Franklin mine) fluoresces orange-red. The surface of the Rhodonite crystals is naturally quite rough, but their shape is very good. An excellent crystallized Rhodonite specimen from Franklin mine, where good crystals are uncommon.
