A fine large miniature specimen of Rhodochrosite from the classic German occurrence at Wolf mine, Herdorf. Excellent seed-like, or rice-grain crystals of Rhodochrosite measuring to 1.2 cm and with the typical (for the locality) fine translucent pink-orange colour, richly line a shallow open cavity (3 x 4 cm across) on a characteristic Goethite gossan matrix. Some of the crystals display a bowtie habit. An absolute German classic and from Professor Werner Paar's stunning collection.
