Perfectly transparent, light sherry-brown Smoky Quartz crystals form a delightful cluster on a snowy-white matrix of mixed Quartz and potassium Feldspar, with micro Adularia crystals embedded. The largest Smoky Quartz crystal measures 3.4 x 1.2 x 1.0 cm and has an asymmetric termination with alternate faces being partially and fully developed. Many other smaller but equally perfect quartz crystals cluster around the roots of the larger crystals and over parts of the matrix. A great specimen from the Giuv Valley in Grischun, Switzerland.
