A wonderful bright lustrous Quartz specimen from the remote location of Tazoiut in Morocco. The double terminated Quartz crystals from an impressive three-dimensional display which is spectacular from any direction. Individual Quartz crystals divide into two groups, those typically 4 cm long are semi-transparent to translucent and are colourless with a milky cloudiness. The crystals averaging 3 cm long are mainly colourless with much great transparency. It must also be pointed out every Quartz crystal is different in habit, with a wide variety of complex forms on display. At just one point in the specimen a bright orange-red inclusion is visible from specific directions, but once out of line of sight, disappears! This splendid Quartz group is attached to a small matrix of granular milky Quartz surrounded by acicular Quartz crystals. A beautiful and unusual specimen.
