Densely intergrown hexagonal crystals of sour limey apple green Pyromorphite are richly developed over dark green to vibrant light emerald green botryoidal crystalline Malachite from Rum Jungle in Northern Territory, Australia. The combination of these two species in the Rum Jungle deposit make delightful specimens with an appearance unique to this locality. The Pyromorphite appears to have a slightly yellow cast from a distance and its bright reflective lustre contrasts delightfully against the more matt Malachite. A classic combination specimen from the open pit.
