Just one glance at this tremendous Pyromorphite and you are instantly transported to Les Farges mine at Corrèze in Ussel, France! This amazing mine has produced a bewildering suite of Pyromorphites in so many colour combinations, yet all so obviously from this remarkable locality. Pyromorphite crystals up 1.5 cm long (and a little over) totally cover the display surfaces of a white Barite and sooty black Goethite matrix. The Pyromorphite crystals are a mustard yellow tinted light olive green with bright acidic yellow pinacoid terminations and a superb waxy lustre. Many doubly terminated Pyromorphite crystals can be seen and these show this bright termination at both ends. A superb cabinet display Pyromorphite from the classic French locality of Les Farges mine accompanied with a Gregory, Bottley & Lloyd label and the previous owner's label, that of a well-known current English collector.
