This is a choice thumbnail aggregate of extremely glossy, and quite large, curved, seed-like Pyromorphite crystals on a tiny piece of matrix from the famous older European occurrence at Bad Ems District, Lahn Valley, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The largest crystal reaches 1 cm in length but all are made up of many tightly aligned parallel crystals with slightly concave 'flat' pinacoid terminations. Their colour is an off-mustard yellow with a resinous lustre and their condition is generally very good, with just a couple of abraded crystals on one edge, but magnification is required to see this in detail. A lovely Bad Ems thumbnail, and comes from the collection assembled by brothers Martin and Michael Günther (1951-2007 & 1956-2021).
