Santa Eufemia is a Municipality lying within the Los Pedroches valley in the Sierra Morena mountain range of Andalusia, Spain. The area contains several famous Spanish Pyromorphite localities whose characteristics are readily recognisable to this area yet display many variations in colour and colour-zonation. This small miniature is a good representative specimen displaying a 2.5 x 2.0 cm area of well crystalised translucent, mustard-sage-green Pyromorphite which forms parallel regular hexagonal crystals to about 7 mm long with frosted pale greenish-lemon pinacoid terminations and glassy lustrous prism faces. The Pyromorphite sits on a porous black gossany matrix freckled rust and pale flesh pink.
