Fresh grass green Pyromorphite crystals richly line a contorted cavity in an opaque Quartz veinstone from the Laverock Hall Vein once worked just west of Leadhills village in Leadhills, South Lanarkshire, Scotland. The Pyromorphite crystal are a lustrous and vibrant spring green measuring to around 2 m, on a Quartz matrix with patchy Goethite and Limonite. A terrific miniature Pyromorphite from Leadhills, one of the true classic mining regions of the British Isles. This specimen has quite a pedigree, being accompanied by no less than five previous labels including the Trinity Mineral Company and two different, very famous and well respected North American collectors who will remain anonymous here! It is a very characteristic Pyromorphite for the Laverock Hall Vein.
