For Pyromorphite collectors there is nothing quite like a Bad Ems District brown Pyromorphite for quality. This cabinet-sized piece oozes class: from its pure richness in dense, super glossy, resinous, mid-brown prismatic crystals; its remarkable lack of noteworthy damage for such a rich and heavy crystal aggregate; and specific attribution to the Braubach site. This really is a very fine classic German Pyromorphite and we all know how few localities have produced brown crystals. With crystals reaching up to 1.2 cm in length, and presenting the classic two-tone colour, with mid-brown prism sides and pale brown tips, this really does look special. Notably too, patches of primary Galena (blue-grey metallic) are still embedded within parts of the Pyromorphite and many of the Pyromorphite crystals form stepped, or parallel clustered growths, some with organic-like forms. A really classy Pyromorphite. Ex Martin Kershaw Collection.
