Discovered during the first few years of the 21st century the stunning Pyromorphites from Daoping mine in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China became instant classics drawing comparisons with Les Farges mine in France. This small cabinet specimen shows how insanely bright and lustrous this material is, with vivid lime-green colour-zoned prismatic crystals with an eye-catching 'wet' lustre, reaching 7 mm in length. These crystals fan out in free-standing sprays rising from a massive white matrix. A world-class Pyromorphite from this monumental 'modern' discovery.
