Collectors familiar with Roughton Gill in the Caldbeck Fells of North West England, know the diversity of Pyromorphite is remarkable, with variations appearing endless. This is a beautiful small miniature, almost perfectly square on its display face, composed entirely of tapering acidic lime-green Pyromorphite crystals to around 1 cm. These crystals also form the specimen's base where they are totally encrusted with a milk chocolate-brown coating. The display crystals occur at various scales, with smaller acicular needles branching from the larger crystals, forming cactus-like structures and displays. An excellent miniature pyromorphite from Roughton Gill in the English Lake District.
