A sensational large miniature of opaque leafy-lime green Pyromorphite occurring as polysynthetic hopper crystals covering a matrix of mixed platy white Quartz and orange-tan Limonite. From the Daoping mine in Gongcheng County, Guilin Prefecture, China, the crystals measure up to 1.5 cm tall by 0.5 cm wide and have a bright silvery lustre. Almost every crystal has a hexagonal stepped hopper termination with a hollow centre and range in habit from acicular to stubby, to wide-tall forms. The Pyromorphite is of uniform colour and is punctuated by its variety of crystal habits and brilliant lustre. A wonderful Daoping Pyromorphite.
