This fine cabinet specimen of pear green Prehnite is from the Oficarsa quarry, about 5.5 km (3.5 miles) due east of the town of Carchelejo in Andalusia, Spain. The Prehnite forms botryoidal domes of crystalline, light pear green and tabular, radial crystal developments on a green volcanic country rock. Prehnite is among nine other mineral species recorded from this quarry which mines aggregates for construction.
