Wonderful finds of Quartz crystals with phantom growths outlined by Chlorite inclusions were made in a quarry near Sils im Domleschg, Thusis, Domleschg, Hinterrhein Valley, Grischun, Switzerland but collecting is now prohibited. This fine small cabinet specimen comprises a thin bed of orange iron-stained rock matrix upon which lie many small greenish chlorite-included Quartz crystals. At one end, one larger prismatic 'Dauphine'-type Quartz crystal showing very pronounced green internal phantoms dominates, pointing off away from the main specimen. In the direction of the phantoms the crystal is glassy and transparent, making for a very fine display. The Chlorite is concentrated towards the tip and one edge of the crystal. From the fine collection assembled by brothers Martin and Michael Günther (1951-2007 & 1956-2021).
