An eye-catching and fabulous small miniature Olivenite with Gartrellite from the Tsumeb mine in the Otjikoto Region of Namibia. Olivenite is known to form good crystals in the Tsumeb orebody, but these are exceptional, occurring as dark olive green crystal aggregates in sprays up to 1 cm wide and also forming composite globular crystals, all with a dazzling glassy lustre. Surrounding the Olivenite are rich micro-crystalline druses of bright canary yellow Gartrellite, a rare lead-copper-iron arsenate. Both species cover the majority of a blocky Dolomite rock matrix, itself pervaded with finely disseminated Olivenite and Gartrellite.
