A rich druse of deep olive green Olivenite micro-crystals invest an elongated and convoluted, 7.5 x 3 cm cavity in a ferruginous Quartz veinstone matrix. The specimen is from Wheal Unity, a mine that also worked the famous Muttrall Lode along with Wheal Gorland. The Olivenite has a sparkling satin-like lustre, with further areas of Olivenite on the specimen. It’s a great example of this drusy habit of Olivenite from Wheal Unity, the mine adjacent to its slightly more famous neighbour, Wheal Gorland.
