An excellent small cabinet display specimen of terminated, prismatic Neptunite crystals measuring to 2.6 cm from the California State Gem Mine in San Benito County, California, USA. Two of the Neptunite crystals are double terminated and all have the characteristic black lustre with occasional flashes of bright metallic red. These contrast perfectly against the snow-white Natrolite covered matrix. In association with the Neptunite, at least five orange microcrystals of the rare mineral Joaquinite-(Ce) are partly exposed from the white Natrolite. A superb specimen.
