Back in the 1970s, 80s and 90s Dean quarry on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall was a well-known collecting site for zeolite minerals. Many of the fieldtrips were led by a well-known local clergyman, the Reverend Vincent Holyer. Nothing is recorded regarding the history of this cabinet specimen of Natrolite from Dean quarry, but it is a stunning piece. It is made almost entirely of radiating sprays of prismatic Natrolite with individual crystals reaching 2.9 cm in length and sprays to 4.5 cm in diameter. British Natrolite does not get much better.
