This large thumbnail specimen presents a wonderful combination between bright silvery-white hackly Native Silver and pink-orange metallic Breithauptite - a very rare nickel antimonide species. Although there is prominent white matrix (possibly Calcite) the flattened and twisted shape of the specimen is of a sheet of Native Silver metal within which bright inclusions of Breithauptite are clearly evident. It is from the famous silver mining district in the Gowganda area, Cobalt-Gowganda Region, Timiskaming District, Ontario, Canada. A super comparison between silver and nickel species, which are so often found in association with each other. It is from the superb systematic collection assembled by the brothers Martin and Michael Günther (1951-2007 & 1956-2021).
