An excellent specimen of Native Silver forming well developed curled and arching wires on a botryoidal-like crystallised Argentite, from Hohe Birke Mine, Zug, Germany. Wires of Native Silver have a natural dark patina with some areas of metallic silver showing here and there on the metallic grey-black Argentite. A fine specimen from this little-known German mine; a mine believed to have been the first in Germany to have used blasting in as early as 1643.
