Native Gold always has an intrinsic value, simply for the weight of gold metal, but occasionally you come across a Native Gold specimen where it is its visual form which has most value. This toe-nail sized crystallized Native Gold from the Siber and Siber Collection is a perfect example of this. It is from the remote Alta Floresta mining district in Mato Grosso state, Brazil. It is 16 grams, or half an ounce of gold metal, but this is not the important point - that is its stunning complex dendritic form. Unlike typical fern-like, or feather-like dendrites this crystallized Native Gold is composed of branching 'stepped', 'hoppered' crystals which with their extremely bright golden metallic yellow colour look truly magnificent. This is a really high-level crystallized Native Gold for the collector who demands perfection in form and rarity of location.
