An exceptional arborescent display of dendritic and herringbone structured Native Gold from the Round Mountain mine in Nevada, USA. The slightly orange, buttery-yellow bright metallic Native Gold abundantly covers the display face of this specimen. The Gold has formed on a druse of colourless-white prismatic Quartz crystals with red-brown Goethite, covering a light grey country rock matrix. Many of the dendritic crystallised structures extend to over 2 cm long and criss-cross the surface, piled one above another. The arborescent crystals form herringbone, V-shaped and interlaced alternately inverted ‘V^V’ patterns and in many areas, superb cubic and triangular-hopper crystals are in abundance. An extraordinary and exquisite arborescent specimen of Native Gold from Round Mountain Gold mine.
