This mottled, dense and rough-textured small cabinet specimen comprises mainly of Native Copper embedded within a mixed matrix of iron-stained Quartz and dark green, almost black, Chlorite minerals. The Native Copper forms a pervading, spongy, hackly network within the all-enveloping matrix. Where the Copper is exposed over all surfaces, it exhibits sub-millimetre crystals of a metallic, slightly tarnished bronze copper brown with sharp hackly edges and very much a metallic “feel” and ring. The specific location is unknown, save for within Cornwall, England.
