Large chucky Native Copper crystals are a rarity worldwide, and even in the famous copper mines at Keweenaw, Michigan they are rare. The Central mine in Keweenaw Co. is one of the best-known mines to have produced them, but good examples always command a high price. This large miniature specimen from David Hardman's collection is in my view a really excellent demonstration of these large crystals. Although not complete all round, the crystal faces on display are all sharp and well-defined and present very well indeed. Individually, these crystals reach up to 1.8 cm across.
