A superb large miniature specimen presenting a large (for this rare species) 15 mm complex aggregate of resinous orange-brown octahedral and modified dodecahedral Microlite crystals individually up to 3 mm in size. The Microlite is positioned aesthetically alongside pearlescent white tabular hexagonal crystals of Lepidolite upon a flat fragment of Microcline Feldspar. This specimen is from the famous pegmatite deposits in Shigar Valley in the Skardu District in northern Pakistan. Microlite forms a complex group of species which are impossible to characterise visually, but many from the Shigar Valley fall within the compositional field of Fluornatromicrolite.
