This is a really superb clustered aggregate of classic Malachite pseudomorphs after chunky Azurite crystals offering a very 3-dimensional display of this important form of geochemical alteration for which Tsumeb mine is renowned. The aggregate of well-formed former Azurite crystals is totally replaced by Malachite with a little Cerussite attached in places. The pseudomorphous crystals are really well-defined and many reach slightly over 1.5 cm on edge, or nearly 2 cm across at their widest point. It is from the superb systematic collection assembled by the brothers Martin and Michael Günther (1951-2007 & 1956-2021).
