Botryoidal spheres of fibrous green Malachite coat a vuggy, porous network of dull maroon semi-crystalline Cuprite from Cornwall, but with no specific locality information. The Cuprite is shot through with micro-sprigs of Native Copper which can only be seen with low magnification (or perhaps you have better eyesight than me!). The outer surfaces of the Malachite spheres are dark forest green whereas their interiors when revealed are radial and fibrous bright emerald green. A delightful miniature accompanied with an extremely old looking label but which will require patience and diligence to decipher! I can just make out "Cornwallis".
