Tsumeb Mine is well known for specimens displaying intriguing paragenesis. On this specimen it has a first generation of intergrown Mimetite crystals totally replaced by yellow probable Gartrellite which has been lightly coated in light green Arsentsumebite, followed by scattered areas of dull olive green Duftite. There has then been a phase of Azurite crystal deposition, replaced by mottled green Malachite, lastly, a limited phase of unaltered blue Azurite has occurred. A neat paragenesis specimen to study.
