The vuggy upper face of a shard of creamy Quartz veinstone is richly lined with drusy micro-crystals of dark green Libethenite, from Wheal Basset, south west of Redruth in Cornwall. The specimen comes with a Richard W. Barstow green stock label which dates from March 1979, as recorded on the accompanying former British collector’s label. Libethenite is not commonly encountered from Wheal Basset and from my personal knowledge of specimens this is a fairly rich example.
