Libethenite is a copper phosphate and the deposit at ?ubietov' (formerly Libethen, the old German name) is one of the richest and most ancient copper mines in Europe, mining having begun during the Bronze Age. This lovely small cabinet specimen is accompanied with an old printed, typed and handwritten Italian label.
