The rare zinc arsenite Leiteite was first discovered at Tsumeb and in this specimen forms rich, scaly, silvery-white sheets of crystals in a grey-black matrix of probable Tennantite. A good example of Leiteite on matrix from the second oxidation zone in Tsumeb, as all too often the crystals are loose and off-matrix. Three other associated species are suggested on the accompanying label, but these are not confirmed.
