Excellent, opaque pale flesh pink-creamy crystals of the calcium-beryllium phosphate Hydroxylherderite are evenly distributed across glassy tabular crystals of white Albite feldspar, tending toward the variety Cleavelandite. The Hydroxylherderite forms superb double-terminated crystals, the largest measuring 1.8 cm long. In both artificial and daylight, the Albite adopts a very slight duck-egg blue tinge which adds to the aesthetic. This is a lovely example of this relatively rare well crystallised species from the granite pegmatite deposits in Barra do Salinas, Jequitinhonha Valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
