Hureaulite is a rare manganese hydroxophosphate mineral - one of only two recognized to science. Pegmatites at Galiléia in the famous mining state of Minas Gerais in Brazil have produced some excellent Hureaulite crystals. This large thumbnail to small miniature specimen is richly covered in 3 to 4 mm long, glossy, pale salmon-pink wedge-shaped to bladed monoclinic Hureaulite crystals. These crystals are in great condition and present the form of Hureaulite wonderfully.
