Lots of highly reflective platy crystal groups of silver coloured Hematite are richly scattered and aggregated over a nicely contrasting bed of white Quartz. The individual Specularite crystal groups measure to 0.4 cm. The reverse of the specimen also has a cavity sprinkled with Hematite crystals and areas of tan coloured Siderite. The specimen has been repaired but this does not detract from the display face. The specimen has a label stating it was collected in 1988 from the 260 fm level Main Lode by miner Dave Scoble. When viewed under low magnification, the Hematite roses are beautiful.
