A single, off matrix, 16 mm wide, octahedral Hauerite crystal from the classic occurrence at Raddusa, Sicily, Italy. Although not the Type Locality, the discoveries at Raddusa, first made in 1890, set a new standard for crystals of this rare manganese sulphide. This example, although not the largest known, has superb crystal form with very sharply defined crystal faces. A rare example of a rare species in a perfect crystal.
