Classic, large, chunky, square-section, glossy white Harmotome crystals liberally cover a small cabinet-sized thin plate from Clashgorm mine at Strontian in Scotland with smaller, glassy, elongated crystals underneath. Individually reaching 9 mm across, the Harmotome crystals on the display surface are a consistently good size and cover most of the display face but two isolated crystals on the back are even better, reaching 1.6 cm in length. A small cloud-like plate of fudge-coloured Calcite coated on its upper surface by tiny glassy Harmotome crystals sits perched on a a few of the larger Harmotome crystals at one end of the display surface. Two small crystals of Galena are seen on the back of the specimen. Ex Martin Kershaw Collection (no. 174) this is undoubtedly an older specimen dating to the 1980s or earlier.
