A really superb pseudomorph of Cerussite after Anglesite coated in very dark chocolate-brown Goethite, from Block 14, Broken Hill Proprietary Mine in Yancowinna County, New South Wales, Australia. The pseudomorphs are crisp and sharp, with the largest crystal measuring 4.0 x 1.8 x 1.5 cm. Where the greyish-cream translucent Cerussite is exposed, the Goethite coating is seen to be a uniform 0.3 mm thick, giving the entire specimen a matt velvety appearance. A truly excellent example of these classic Broken Hill pseudomorphs.
