A striking display of black, botryoidal Goethite with a sparkling drusy surface with a well-defined internal radial structure. Such mamillary clusters of Goethite are famous from the Botallack mine close to St. Just in Cornwall and several other mines in this historic area. The areas where the Goethite crystals are terminated remain completely undamaged and give an almost velvet-like texture to the upper display surface and to a 2.5 x 2 cm area on the base. This large miniature is accompanied with two previous collector’s labels.
