A densely-clustered intergrown group of cubic lead-grey Galena crystals cover a small matrix of concentrically banded light and dark brown Sphalerite, of the variety Schalenblende. From Pomorzany mine at Gmina Olkusz in Poland, the Galena crystals are typically between 5 and 8 mm across. Some crystals are elongated from the cube and almost all have rounded edges and corners. Amongst the Galena, the occasional Marcasite cluster is seen, with those at the specimen's edge showing their internal radial structure. A choice Galena miniature with character.
