A terrific group of chunky dodecahedral crystal of Galena crystals from Bonsall Moor quarry by the village of Bonsall in Derbyshire, England. This quarry is also known as Moor Farm quarry and Slayley quarry and first became famous when Steve and Don Rust discovered the classic calcite axe-head twins in the early 1980s. The Galena crystals are between 1.5 and 2 cm in diameter and are coated in a thin, light cream-tan layer of micro-crystalline Cerussite. A good location specimen of Galena.
