An elegant small cabinet specimen of highly lustrous Galena from the lesser known locality Ameise Mine in the Leimbach valley near Eisern, Siegen in North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany. The one prominent cuboctahedral crystal is sided by several smaller modified crystals. An interesting and prominent feature is the difference in lustre between the square cubic faces and the octahedral faces, which gives this specimen quite a distinguished look.
