This large display specimen of Fluorite is from the Wölsendorf Fluorite Mining District in Upper Palatinate, Bavaria, Germany. It comprises a thin plate of almost pure Fluorite with the upper display surface covered in intergrown cubic Fluorite crystals to 2 cm on edge. The crystals are pale yellow in colour and contain dark red inclusions of Cinnabar towards their outer edges. Tiny, colourless, bipyramidal Quartz crystals are sparsely scattered upon the surface. A couple of the Fluorite crystals have their corners slightly chipped, but most of the Fluorite crystals (and there are a lot) are in great condition with a glassy lustre. A fine display specimen of German Fluorite with character.
