El Hammam mine in the Meknès-Tafilalet Region, Morocco has produced many colours of Fluorite from three main veins. We don't have details of which vein this specimen came from, but it is a quite distinctive violet-purple colour. Cabinet in size, the Fluorite crystals reach over 2 cm on edge and have a superb glassy lustre to them. They are sharp, and well-formed, with the addition of small glassy Quartz crystals scattered upon the surface providing character. An extremely attractive Moroccan Fluorite, of a lovely, unusual shade of purple, and ex Jesse Fisher collection.
